On its traditional Italian origin, the concept of Tamburato was related to "tambour", a drum, that is a semi-hollow, yet resistant, object. The material is widespread not only among Italians, but in several countries in Europe. In Brazil, Artely was one of the companies that most invested and promoted Tamburato, and today is one of the main producers in the national market.
To ensure its high quality pattern, Artely produces its own Tamburato panels since 2007, being PIONEER in Brazil to use Tamburato in furniture!
The production of Tamburato is HANDMADE, an artisanal work developed to give the ideal internal support to each piece.
All edges of Artely Tamburato are coated with PVC of 1 mm thickness , which guarantees more resistance to impacts and humidity, increasing the durability of the furniture.
HIGHER RESISTANCE
Its special estructure is developed exclusively for each piece , that with 50 mm thickness, ensures the perfect support for the assembly and intended use.
TAMBURATO X SOLID WOOD
Using 50 mm solid plates or simply gluing two MDF or MDP plates would result in an extremely heavy panel, causing difficulties in handling, since weight excess makes the transport and delivery of the products more expensive. In addition, the consumer would find it more difficult to move a solid wood furniture at home.
TAMBURATO X THINNER PANELS
The robust thickness of Tamburato adds greater value to the product as it offers a solid appearance, a detail that makes all the difference for a more sophisticated finishing.
TAMBURATO X THICKENED: CAN YOU RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCE?
TAKE THE TEST → analyze from under the top or look at the product from different angles, you will notice that the thickened panel is thinner inside.
Thickened furniture has a solid “strip” only on the edge of the furniture, giving the false impression that the entire piece is thick.
TAMBURATO ADVANTAGES:
- Much higher resistance (due to thickness and internal structure);
- More resistance to humidity, as all the sides are revested;
- Better finishing.
● Lower cost;
● Lower consumption of raw materials → preservation of native forests;
● Lightness in weight → ease of transport, assembly and cleaning;
● More resistance to warping;
● Robust and sophisticated look.
